CSE 291. Scientific Communication


Subject

This course will develop writing skills for work in artificial intelligence, machine learning, and related areas of computer science. Most classes will take the form of writer's workshops, with students receiving detailed feedback on their rough drafts.

Audience

Do you sometimes struggle to put your ideas into writing? Does your advisor feel the need to edit your text? Have anonymous reviewers ever misunderstood your main arguments? If you answered yes to any of these questions, then you are likely to benefit from this course. The course is intended specifically for graduate students who are currently writing up one or more research projects for publication.
