Provides administrative support to the following faculty: Scott Baden, Mihir Bellare, Serge Belongie, Francine Berman, Walter Burkhard, Brad Calder, Chung-Kuan Cheng, Alin Deutsch, Charles Elkan, Eleazar Eskin, Jeanne Ferrante, Yoav Freund, Joseph Goguen, William Griswold, Bill Howden, Te C. Hu, Ranjit Jhala, Sorin Lerner, Alex Orailoglu, Jose Pasquale, Pavel Pevzner, Tajana Simunic-Rosing, Larry Smarr, Michael Taylor, Dean Tullsen, George Varghese, Victor Vianu and Gill Williamson.
Organizes meetings, conferences and seminars. Prepares and transmits correspondence to professional societies and journals. Supports the instructional program by preparing course materials, copying, maintaining files, distributing exams per confidentiality policy, ordering AV equipment and interacting with faculty and students.
Initiates on-line travel expense vouchers, purchase orders, campus service work orders, payment authorizations and petty cash requests. Makes arrangement for visitors, prepares academic review biographies/bibliographies.
Bio
Sheila was born in San Diego at Balboa Naval Hospital and left at the age of two only to return to the area, much to her surprise, many, many years later. She has a Liberal Arts degree from the Evergreen State College and a Master's in Public Administration from Columbia University. Her interests include watching films on dvd, reading cultural histories and literary biographies and memoirs, learning to cook with her new crock pot, lap swimming and finding ever new and creative ways to annoy her cat.
