In Zimbra, it is possible to create rules to file your messages for you as they are received. In order to create a rule to move any messages marked as spam by the Barracuda, simply follow these directions.

Zimbra uses the folder named "Junk" for filing spam. You cannot rename or remove this folder. We will use this folder to file messages which the department Barracuda has marked as spam.

To begin, log on to the Zimbra web client.

Next, Click on the "Options" tab, just below the "Find" bar.

In the "Options" panel, click on the "Mail Filters" tab.

Click on the "New Filter" button.

Enter a name for the filter, such as "Barracuda Spam".

Select "Any Condition", as we have a couple conditions that will qualify for filing spam from the Barracuda into the Junk folder.

Click on the first selection box (which will be pre-selected to "Subject", and select "Header Named".

The display will have changed, adding two text fields and changing the second selection box. In the first text field, enter "X-Barracuda-Spam-Status".

In the second selection box, select "matches pattern" instead of "matches exactly".

In the second text field, enter "Yes*". This specifies that the header will match any string beginning with "Yes" and any (or no) characters following it.

In the second half of the dialog ("Perform the following actions"), click on the selection box, which is currently set to "Keep in Inbox". Select "File info folder".

A "Browse..." button will appear. Click this button, and then select the "Junk" folder from the list that pops up.

Click "OK" to save the filter. Any email that arrives which has been tagged as spam by the Barracuda will now be filed into the Junk folder.

For futher information on filters in Zimbra, please see the Zimbra on-line help.
