Telnet connections are not allowed on any CSEHelp maintained systems for
security reasons. Please use ssh to log in remotely to machines,
and scp to transfer files to and from CSEHelp machines. To obtain
ssh software and/or find out more about ssh, please see:

System Manager's Responsibility
If you are managing a machine on the CSE network, it is your responsibility
to maintain the security of your system. In the event of a security problem,
your system needs to be taken off-line for examination and repair. If
corrective action is insufficient or not timely, and problems continue to be
reported, UCSD Network Operations may cut off-campus network access for your
system. CSEHelp may shut off networking for the entire room where the break
occurs if we cannot locate the offending machine, or its administrator, to
take the system off-line. Below are some useful links to help you maintain
