Opening CorporateTime
Windows Machines
- Go to Programs
- Then go to CorporateTime
- Open CorporateTime
Unix Machines
- Verify CorporateTime is in your path (/usr/local/bin/ctime)
- Be sure the CTIME_ROOT environment variable is set.
- Run 'ctime'.
Setting up the CorporateTime Client for Use
- Open CorporateTime (see steps for Windows and Unix above)
- Click the "Other" button on the right side of the "Sign-in" Window.
- a. A "Connection Manager" wIndow" should pop up.
- Click the first "New" button on the right side of the "Connection Manager" window.
- a. A new "Connection Editor" window should pop up.
- In the first box at the top of the "Connection Editor" window, type in "CSECal" as the "Connection Name."
- In the middle of the window is a "Server" box.
- a. Type "csecal1.ucsd.edu."
- b. Then click the "Lookup" button to the right of it.
- c. Information in the bottom boxes (Node, Authentication, Compression, Encryption) should appear.
- Set the node to "101"
- Click on the arrow to the right of the last box entitled "Encryption."
- a. Choose "Affine Cipher" instead of "None."
- Click the "OK" button at the bottom of the "Connection Editor" window.
- In the "Connection Manager" window, highlight "CSECal."
- a. Click the "Make Default" button on the right (the fourth button down).
- Click the "OK" button at the bottom of the "Connection Manager" window.
Getting a copy of the CorporateTime Client for user-administered machines
