In this talk, I will present some basic concepts for setting up a home
network.  These concepts will include:

 * Internet access: modem / cable / dsl / built-in ethernet

 * Hardware elements: network interface cards, hubs, switches,
     wireless access points, "gateways"

 * Software elements: IP addresses, private networks, Dynamic Host
     Configuration Protocol (DHCP), Network Address Translation (NAT)

 * Minimal security (<disclaimer>I am not a security expert</disclaimer>)
