Structured Adaptive Mesh Refinement (SAMR)

Structured Adaptive Mesh Refinement (SAMR) is useful in reducing space and time overheads in resolving unpredictable irregular phenomena such as shocks and near-singular atomic potentials. We are employing SAMR in a multidisciplinary collaboration aimed at enhancing predictive modeling techniques for first principles simulation of real materials.
