Starting Fall 2008, we adopted a media approach to teaching computing and programming in CSE 8A (Java Programming) our first introduction to programming course. Check out the video and see why our new programmers are excited about taking CSE 8A. - Students without computer experience may start in CSE 3.
- Take CSE 5A and learn programming in the C language.
- JAVA programming is required for CSE majors. Start by taking CSE 8A and CSE 8AL - Introduction to Computer Science: Java Language and the lab.
Do you know how to program in a compiled language? - Fast-track your progress by taking CSE 11 - Introduction to Computer Science and Object-Oriented Progamming: JAVA. Prerequisite: A course in programming in a compiled language.
