You can find a complete list of admission requirements, and admission deadlines at UC San Diego Transfer Students Admissions webpage. The application for admission to UC San Diego is available November first through November thirty.

Course preparation for studies in computer science and computer engineering

You should start taking the following prep classes as soon as possible, so you can finish early with your degree requirement.

  • Math 20A - Calculus I - for Science
  • Math 20B - Calculus II - for Science
  • Math 20C - Calculus and Analytic Geometry
  • Math 20D - Differential Equations
  • Math 20F - Linear Algebra
  • Physics 2A - Mechanics
  • Physics 2B - Electricity and Magnetism
  • Physics 2B - Fuilds, Waves Thermodynamics and Optics
  • Highest level of Introductory Computer Programming Language Course offerings at the community college

Course Equivalencies

Course equivalencies are found at Articulation System Stimulating Interinstitutional Student Transfer (ASSIST). ASSIST is an online student-transfer information system that shows how course credits earned at one public California college or university can be applied when transferred to another. ASSIST is the official repository of articulation for California's public colleges and universities and provides the most accurate and up-to-date information about student transfer in California.
