CSE111 – Object Oriented Software Design

Units: 4

Course Objectives:

Course Description:
Introduction to object-oriented analysis and design. Object-oriented modeling methods for analysis and design, object-oriented general design paradigms, and object-oriented design techniques. Cyclic deveopment of object-oriented systems.

Format:
3 hours of lecture per week, 1 hours per week of discussion section, 4 hours of lab per week, and 4 hours of outside preparation.

Prerequisites:
CSE 8B or CSE 9B or CSE 11, CSE 12 and CSE 100 or Math 176.

Other restrictions:
Majors only.

Applying UML and PatternsAn Introduction to Object-Oriented Analysis and Design, by Craig Larman TBA

Laboratory work:
Analysis design and programming assignments.

Offered:
One quarter a year, normally Fall.
