CSE135 – Server-side Web Applications

Units: 4

Course Objectives:

Course Description:
Design and implementation of dynamic web-based applications. Topics covered typically include: multi-tier architecture, scripting languages, SQL, XML, session handling, non-browser clients, web services, and scalability, security, and usability in the web context.

Format:
3 hours of lecture, 1 hour of discussion, 1 hour of lab, and 7 hours of outside preparation per week.

Prerequisites:
CSE 100 or Math 176.

Other restrictions:
Majors only. Credit not offered for both CSE 135 and CSE 134A.
