I am a Ph.D. student in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering at the University of California, San Diego, USA. Before that, I was a research fellow in the Genome Research Center for Diabetes and Endocrine Disease at Seoul National University Hospital, Korea. I received Bachelor's and Master's degrees in School of Electrical Engineering from Seoul National University, Korea in 1998 and 2000, respectively. My primary research interest is understanding the genetic basis of disease by analyzing human variation data and attempting to discover functional variants which contribute to disease. My research advisor is Eleazar Eskin . I am also interested in other various kinds of research topics in bioinformatics, machine learning and database.
