Thanks for the fun game Sunday. First, the xp tally is 1500 xp each. (240 for Mandrake swarm; 840 for goblin scouts; 50 for winning second place in the competition; 120 for investigations concerning the Stone Head; and 250 for negotiating with the Baroness Sarlanni and making arrangements for the defense of Vermillion Village. ) I'll try to resume the game in January, but I doubt I'll pick up exactly where we left off. You might want to decide which characters have primary ownership/responsibility/interest for which objects, so that when we resume, we can assume that object is with that character. I'll assume Me(??)endon (Valentine's friend Dave) will be happy with say the masterwork shield and a share of the reward money. The trickier items are: The Goodberry. Rippick is willing to buy it for 2400 gp (800 ea for Elros, Faenor, and Zelan) or he would buy any of the partner's shares and become partners with the ones who won't sell. Or you could keep it if you want to use it as the basis for further adventures in the winter. I recommend Elros' share get bought out, though. See below. The Stone Head: Someone should become primary custodian. I nominate Elros, since he's connected to the University. That way, the others could adventure elsewhere without worrying about it falling into the wrong hands. Since it does seem a source of cash, Elros could say trade his share of the Goodberry for it, making Zelan and Faenor 4/9 owners and Calyps a 1/9 owner. But if that is a subplot the SD players are eager to continue playing out in the winter, we could keep it a group item. A +1 sword. Zelan would be the obvious choice for this, but the others might want him to buy out their shares. As for the Vermillion Village situation, a few days after the big goblin raid, the following proclamation is read in the village square: Here ye! The Baroness of Sarlanni proclaims the following decrees: First, that a new tax on vermillion dyes be established, revenues from said tax and all existing taxes on vermillion dyes being used to support a troop of Mercenaries to defend Vermillion Village from attack by goblins, and to harry said goblins in their lairs whenever feasible. Secondly, that this troup shall from now on be called the Vermillion Guard. Thirdly, that the following brave heroes be declared honorary Captains of the Vermillion Guard in perpetuity: Calyps of Hillesa, initiate of Sophia, dedicated to the temple of Haran and Tempe; Elros of Molosh City, initiate of Isthar; Faenor of the Forest of Caerfallin, initiate of Caerfallin; Me??eddon of Molosh City, intitate of Hillesa; and Zelan of the Forest of Caerfallin, initiate of Ellander. Fourthly, that the warriors under their command in the recent conflict will be offered the position of non-commissioned officers in the Vermillion Guard, and that all able-bodied citizens of Vermillion Village will serve in a militia under their command at their discretion. Finally, that the Captains of the Vermillion Guard be reimbursed their expenses in its formation as follows: 2 short bows, 140 gp. Rations and recruitment incentives, 10 warriors: 200 gp. Armor and uniforms, 10 warriors: 200 gp. Arms for 10 warriors, 60 gp. Misc. expenses: 100 gp. (This should be about twice what you actually spent in each category.) In addition, they should be given decorations for their bravery (at which point, each PC is handed a jeweled medal worth 100 gp, in the form of symbols of their respective cults) and the following livery of the Captains of the Vermillion Guard (a complete noble's fancy dress outfit in guess which color?)
